So how do governments stay in sync and even a step ahead in this technological race, which can progress into a course of development and advancement but also one of disruption and vulnerability? 08:30	Session VI: Challenge: Misinformation This day’s sessions will host interactive discussions that will address the current societal challenge of “misinformation” and its effects on public policy developments. With the help of experts from the Swedish eGovLab and Stockholm University, we will navigate through the process for modelling of organisational structures, administrative agility and disruptive technologies for the development of a business model. 09:00 - 11:30	Breakout Group Topic for Discussion: What are the new models emerging during this organisational transformation? Conceptualisation and formulation of policies are heavily influenced by public perception. Perception affects people’s recognition and interpretation of information, and how they respond to this information. However, in the age of misinformation and post-truth, misperception has become too dangerously common. Misinformation generates misperceptions, which have affected policies in many domains, including immigration, economy, health, climate change and foreign policy. Indeed, misinformation has become a common part of our digital media environments, and is compromising the ability of our societies to form informed opinions and policies. Within this context, how can the public sector stimulate the discussion within its public settings i.e. executive, legislative, judicial, educational and civil society (rules and procedures) and address this challenge? How can the public sector develop a resilience framework to misinformation through tools and strategies for better exposure of citizens, who are consuming and sharing misinformation on social media, to information validations from fact checking media sources?
