Open Government – Making It Work

The 44th Annual ICA Conference took place in Washington D.C., November 8-11, 2010. Representatives of more than twenty countries explored the many ways their governments are using technology to meet needs of citizens, governments and businesses. The conference was highly successful and presentations were interesting and dynamic.

Breakout sessions and networking opportunities allowed delegates to participate fully in an exchange of knowledge and tools to position government successfully in the modern arena. Topics included new technologies, mobile government services, cyber security management and open government initiatives to improve transparency and collaboration. The delegates agreed to work on research topics and the ICA plans to create International Study Groups early in the New Year.

The Washington Conference presentations will be available for viewing on the website in early January 2011. They will be located under the resource tab on the 44th Conference page. If you missed the 44th conference, we look forward to seeing you in Taipei, Taiwan in October 2011 for our 45th Annual Conference.
