Mr. Cashman is an experienced cyber security professional with over 15 years of leadership, operational and advisory roles in global government enterprise environments. Starting his career as a military signals officer, he learned early that cyber security is an essential part of mission assurance and he carries that passion through to the civilian ranks. Mo learned cyber security from the ground up, working in the United States Army’s first Computer Emergency Response Team as an incident and network analyst, deploying and monitoring sensor solutions to detect sophisticated cyber espionage campaigns threatening military operations. After successful roles in technical sales, network security and information assurance policy development, Mo was selected to lead the Security Operations and Intelligence Center for the US Army in Europe. In that role, Mo directed cyber security operations, incident response and threat intelligence for a global enterprise network facing advanced persistent threats daily and operating in some of the most challenging environments. Since joining McAfee, Mo has served successfully as an enterprise architect for large security projects and advisor to the US European Command on cyber security, the first ever for the company. More recently, he served as Chief Security Advisor to the Global Public Sector executive team, traveling worldwide to establish McAfee as a security leader for global governments. Mo currently leads a team of enterprise architects, specializing in delivering cyber security solutions enabling business resilience across the Finance, Energy and Government markets. Mo also represents McAfee on several global advisory committees and is a notable speaker at defense, intelligence, public sector and industry events.
