LAGUNES, Mr. Victor Chief Information Officer in the Office of the President of Mexico Tuesday, September 12th 11:30 - 13:00 | Session III: Government Update | Session Speaker Victor Lagunes is the Head of the Unit of Innovation and Technological Strategy. He is responsible of the creation and implementation of federal public policies to generate value to our country. Currently, he’s leading the effort to build the National Strategy on Cybersecurity. Under the National Digital Strategy framework, Victor has been leading the national effort to build the government of the future through the use and adoption of ICTs, creating and implementing the ICT Policy for the Federal Public Administration. He's also leading the technological architecture design and implementation for gob.mx, the National One Stop-Shop for Government Services and Information Victor served as Honorary Host Country Co-Chair of the Internet Governance Forum Multistakeholder Advisory Group (IGF MAG), leading the country position during the preparatory process regarding the IGF 2016. He got his Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering degree from the Tecnologico de Monterrey in 1998 and he moved to Canada to pursue an MBA at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. In Canada, Mr. Lagunes started a consulting practice, focusing on technology integration, green data center initiatives, cloud-sourcing and information security.
