49th ICA Conference: “Unleashing mobile government-addressing societal challenges” Over 25 countries and organizations attended this year’s conference which took place in Stockholm, Sweden from the 6th-9th of September. The response to the topics and issues addressed was overwhelming, as the presentations were immaculately prepared and warmly accepted by all who participated to the conference. The topics sparked further discussions among panelists and the audience, raising further awareness to and means for solutions on cybersecurity, mGovernment, strategy & change management and government analytics from big data through a citizen centric spectrum. This year the Programme Committee and the hosts of the conference, the Swedish Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation and the eGovlab, adapted a different concept, one that involved deeper engagement for the participants. eGovlab Innovation Jam Sessions On September 8th, conference participants changed venues and visited Kista, home of Stockholm University and eGovlab, where they actively participated to three workshops addressing: Risk & Disaster Management, Migration and Building a Home. The eGovlab Innovation Jam Sessions were preceded by a morning visit to the Ericsson Experience Center leaving everyone longing for more! As the curtain comes down on this successful event ICA looks ahead to the 50th ICA Conference to be hosted in Colombia.
