JAKOBSSON, Dr. Antti Chief Engineer, National Land Survey (NLS), Finland Tuesday, November 15th15:15 - 16:45 | Session VIII: Benefits of the open government data – what and where they are | Session Speaker Dr. Antti Jakobsson (D.Sc. in Tech.) is a chief engineer at the National Land Survey of Finland (NLS). During 2008-2012 he was the Programme Manager at EuroGeographics. He has been working with development of national mapping, quality management and data quality issues. His doctoral thesis is related to quality and he has participated in the development of standardization of geoinformation. During 2013-2016 he has been the technical coordinator for the European Location Framework project which is providing access to authoritative data from European National Mapping and Cadastral Agencies. At NLS he is currently leading the renewal programme of the National Topographic Database. The goal of the programme is to utilize different data sources; municipalities and other government agencies but also citizens and private companies leading to an open collaboration platform.
