He also served Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretariat for Information Technology Policy. As Government CIO, he took advantage of his long term experience in private manufacture company, Ricoh Company, Ltd. His approaches are very solid and realistic. He respects “each fact” with confident evidence and he had thousands of briefings and interviews from each ministry and agency. After he joined government, he succeeded to establish the operating cost reduction plan of whole administrative information systems with consolidation large systems. At the same time, he succeeded to secure privacy data more and raised availability. The benefit of this project is estimated 100 Billion Yen (28% of ICT budget in FY2013) and will achieve the target by FY2021 Meanwhile, he is confident that his role and responsibility is not only improve IT utilization but also change the culture from the management standpoint of private company. Hence he has been focus on transformation of services and change the business to solve societal issues, to create benefit for both citizens and companies.
