John Kootstra works for the Netherlands Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, at the Information Society and Government Department. This department is responsible for the co-ordination of egovernment policy in the Netherlands. John’s main concern is the co-ordination of the EU related egovernment activities. He is acting in different European expert groups and programmes, like the European egovernment action plan, ISA². He is also involved in OECD work on digital government. John started his professional career as consultant for the B&A Group in The Hague. His educational background is a Public Administration at the University of Leyden.
