59th ICA Conference

59th ICA Conference

The 59th ICA Conference took place September 15th-18th in Taipei, Taiwan.

Themed “Trust by Design: AI and Innovation Shaping Tomorrow’s Public Service Delivery”, the conference agenda focused on fostering and promoting resilient governments. We explored how we, as global digital leaders, can ensure that the trust that is placed in us by our ‘clients’ – citizens, businesses, those looking to come to our Countries – is not only maintained but even increased as we evolve service delivery to be more and more digital. How can governments fuel innovation and drive growth across both public and private sectors? We deep-dived into this transformative landscape of digital public service delivery and the ongoing challenge of balancing technological innovation with public trust, cost-efficiency and equitable access. And finally, we looked at how AI has been integrated into public administration in an effort to reduce bureaucratic burdens, enhance decision-making, and to personalize citizen experiences.

These presentations not only showcased innovative practices in the field of artificial intelligence but also highlighted the challenges and reflections that come with integrating AI into government operations.

Finally, a great note of appreciation goes to the government of Taiwan and our Nationals, Ken Wang and Andrew Wang, as well as all involved, for hosting such a spectacular event and for making everyone feel so welcome!
